Cookie Policy

A summary of GigNode's essential cookies and technical measurement tools.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

1. What this policy covers

A cookie is a small piece of data stored by a website in a browser. Similar technical storage can include local storage or security identifiers. This policy explains the current GigNode use that can be verified from the repository.

2. Essential and functional cookies

  • Supabase Auth session cookies: maintain sign-in state and authorised access. Their lifetime follows session refresh and authentication configuration.
  • gignode_ops_locale: stores the EN/TR selection for one year, with SameSite=Lax and a site-wide path.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: loads only on protected forms for bot and abuse checks and may use technical identifiers, cookies, or browser storage for security.

3. Measurement tools

  • Vercel Web Analytics: produces aggregated page-view, referrer, approximate-location, and device/browser category data. Under Vercel's current documentation it uses no cookies and measures anonymized visitors with a daily-changing hash.
  • Vercel Speed Insights: sends Core Web Vitals and page-performance measurements from real user devices. GigNode does not create its own consent cookie or advertising profile for this tool.
  • Product and security events may be recorded server-side or in the database. The repository contains no third-party advertising, session replay, or cross-site marketing tool.

5. Browser controls

You can delete or block cookies in browser settings. Blocking session cookies will impair signed-in features; deleting the locale cookie stops the language choice being remembered; blocking security storage may prevent Turnstile-protected forms from working.
